Background info: Most of my journal lately is regarding psychologist appointments I'm undergoing in an attempt to be approved for disability.
I'm currently working on a fantasy/mythology serial called Escape From Manitou Island, which is usually what I'm referring to when I talk about EFMI or writing. "TAC" is the Ameni Chronicles, an unrelated erotica serial. "MI" is my nickname for Manitou Island, a place in my stories; EFMI is the third in that series of serials. Charmian and Damien are two of my most important characters. Cosmas/Coz/the Muffin/the Little Guy/any other weird nickname is my cat. Mya is an old friend with whom I've long been out of touch and Dianne is an old friend who recently got back in touch with me; I'm still seeing how that goes. Various other names are usually characters of mine. I'm currently trying out drawing some of my characters and you can see my efforts here. My MI-themed drawings for the 100 Picture Challenge are here. If you like lots of nature photos and the occasional attempt at anthro art just check out the rest of my DA account.
My dream come true: Finding somebody as nuts about fantasy writing as I am, they love my series and I love theirs, and not only do we critique each other but we gush over each other's writing like it's the best thing on Earth. Well, I can dream. *sigh*
I am a Michigander,

May it someday go the way of Prohibition.
RULES FOR FRIENDING:
1. No, you don't have to ask first, just go right ahead.
2. No, you don't have to read anything, though I'll personally wonder why you stopped by then. O_o
3. No, you don't have to leave notes; but if you're actually reading, it would be nice to leave a note now and then.
4. I can tell when I've been added by a mass-friending program (SPAMMERS!), and I WILL NOT add you back. I don't use the friends page and I won't read your journal if you do this so that rather defeats your purpose. If you want to be friended then ADD ME INDIVIDUALLY. LJ should ban that mass-friending program, IMO. I don't need or want a hundred Russians friending my journal (no offense to Russians, but I only read English!). EDITED TO ADD: This applies also to people who mass-add friends individually, usually in the hopes of gaining fans. *sigh* While I won't deny that I myself look for and appreciate fans, to join up and add like six hundred people whom you don't intend to read is rude, too. Friending should be used for just that, FRIENDING. So if you're going to add me because our interests are alike and you hope I'll read, and then you're going to add several hundred more people for the same reason, please just skip me. It's insulting to learn that you're just one of several hundred people expected to read someone else's journal while they don't read yours.
5. All my entries are so far public so if you want to add me just so I'll add you, you'll read a few entries out of curiosity, then unfriend me a few days later, please save both our time and don't. You're not missing anything by not being on my friends list. Yet.
6. I'd prefer you friend me if 1. you like reading my journal (whether you comment or not doesn't matter); 2. you want to keep up on what I'm doing for whatever reason; 3. you know me from somewhere and feel it's the friendly thing to do; or 4. you share a lot of interests with me (SEE RULE 4 FOR CAVEAT). If any of these apply I'll likely add you back. My call.
7. Please don't friend me then unfriend me when I don't leave you lots of notes. I'm very shy, and no one's required to read or note me, thus I'm not required to read or note anybody. I'll likely at least check in on you from time to time if you seem to stop by my journal a lot and if we have things in common--like, fantasy writing. Sorry, I'm self-centered that way.
8. There is no eight, I just like that number. 88888888.
Here is my profile information; please read it also to learn about me.
Tehuti, Lord Of The Eight
Hello and welcome to Skew. I am "Tehuti," a female thirtysomething nobody from northern Michigan. You can view my profile here.
I am very shy (I suffer from extreme social anxiety) and may not respond to all comments, although I do appreciate them. My interests are reflected in my websites but they include fantasy (original fantasy, NOT LOTR-type stuff), writing, reading, mythology (especially Egyptian and Ojibwa/Chippewa), psychology, dreams, ritual abuse, original yaoi (M/M erotica--I prefer to write, not read, unless it's done tastefully), Jungian symbolism, nature, and the occult/paranormal. These interests are frequently present in my writing, almost to the point of obsession sometimes. My "short" stories regularly run over 5000 words, and my long ones...well...they kind of break the scale. o_o
When reading my journal, if you wish to leave a comment, please keep these few little things in mind:
* Unsolicited "advice" in the vein of "Get off your butt and do something about it" or "Quit whining" etc. is not welcome, especially if I didn't ask for it. "Tough love" is not love at all, it's just rude. And please don't get upset should I decide not to follow advice given me; sometimes I just like to complain.
Please see these entries for more on this and on how I believe personal journals should be used (IMO):

* If you disagree with me on something, that's fine, and you may say so; but please do not try to egg me into a debate, and please don't tell me my opinion is "wrong." Opinions can't be wrong. There IS such a thing as respectful disagreement, and it doesn't involve namecalling. These are personal journals, not debate forums.
* If my entries bore you, you don't have to tell me so; I know they're boring already. Likewise if you find my entries too long, you do not have to tell me so. I know that too. Telling me my entries are long is like saying the sky is blue. And if you could not read the entire thing, you don't have to inform me of that, I'll understand. However if you LIKE long boring entries...hop on in! I have plenty to choose from. :)
* I tend to throw massive fits every so often, and once they're over I either sulk angrily for months on end or feel extreme guilt and shy away from my journal for weeks; likewise I get very depressed a lot. By now I strongly believe I could be borderline based on how I react to people. If something I write offends you please take into account that I am prone to awful moodswings and often irrational anger, and I'll probably be beating myself up soon enough.
Please enjoy your stay.

Okay, this is just scary. O_o;

You are The Moon
Hope, expectation, Bright promises.
The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.
The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.
